Preventing and Responding to Sexual Assault
October 4 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Every 68 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted (RAINN). Research has shown that those who experience sexual assault are at increased risk for being recruited into sex trafficking. To engage in sex trafficking prevention, we need to engage in the prevention of the contributing factors that make people vulnerable
Join The Samaritan Women for this two-part session on preventing and responding to sexual assault and intimate partner violence in our communities. An expert speaker from SARC (Sexual Assault/Spouse Abuse Resource Center) will equip participants with training and resources on how to introduce these topics to your church, how to recognize signs and respond to someone who has experienced sexual assault or intimate partner violence, and how to become a safe space for survivors.
