The Shepherd Project Speaker Series: Exploring the Truth about Pornography and its Grip on Society

August 2 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

  Changes brain pathways
  Generates shame and isolation
  Normalizes sexual violence and degradation
  Destroys trust and relationships
  Is linked to human trafficking

Research has shown a significant connection between pornography and sex trafficking. To engage in sex trafficking prevention, we need to understand porn’s contribution to exploitation and raise awareness on its harmful effects. We need to invite people out of shame and into a supportive community.

Join The Samaritan Women for a 3-part training to learn how porn impacts the brain, relationships, and society. Expert counselors from Regeneration Ministries and Rogue River Counseling will equip participants with training and resources to have compassionate, informed conversations about this issue. Increase your knowledge on the psychology behind porn use and how to support those who are struggling. Learn how to have conversations with youth and keep them safe online. Sign up today to understand how to protect the vulnerable and create safe environments where healing help is offered.

Dates: August 2, September 13
Time: 6pm – 8pm (ET)

Location: Zoom Meeting
Cost: $75 per group (includes all sessions)

The Shepherd Project is a program dedicated to equipping individuals and churches to protect the vulnerable and minister to those who have been abused. Throughout the year, expert speakers provide trainings on various topics of abuse and showcase resources and essential practices. The year is divided into four quarters addressing sex trafficking, child abuse, pornography, and sexual assault/intimate partner violence. We invite individuals and churches to learn about these issues and discern how to implement prevention and response practices in your church and community.
